I recently thought, “Wouldn’t it be fun to have my own theme song?” So I made one—with the help of AI. The lyrics and vocals (rap) were all generated using free AI tools. Before diving into the process, take a listen:
In this post, I’ll walk you through how I made the track from start to finish. It’s all free, so if you’re curious, feel free to follow along and try it yourself!
1. Writing the Lyrics with AI
As mentioned, the entire track—including lyrics and rap vocals—was AI-generated. I personally use ChatGPT (paid plan), but you can easily create something similar using free AI tools like ChatGPT Free, Gemini, or Grok.
Here’s the prompt I gave the AI:
“Write a punchy phrase for 'CheRRy Deluxe', packed with rhymes. Make it a boastful, big-mouth kind of lyric in English. Think of it like a sound logo or a jingle with a catchy tempo.”
And this was the result:
CheRRy Deluxe, never stuck in a flux,
Crushin' the game with designer deluxe,
Pixel to plush, every move is a rush,
Style so lush, make the critics hush.
I loved it instantly and didn’t make any edits. It came out bold, confident, and perfectly hip hop in tone.
2. Picking a Genre
To generate the actual rap vocals, I used a service called Uberduck, which specializes in AI-generated voices—especially for rap and speech synthesis.
Create a free account to get started.
Once you're logged in, you’ll see a dashboard like this:
Since I wanted to make a hip hop track, I selected the Rap Generator. You’ll find several sub-genres to choose from, including Old School, West Coast, Grime, and Drill.
The one I used is called Boom Bap, a classic hip hop style.
3. Choosing a Voice
After selecting the genre, you’ll be asked to choose a voice. There are options like male rappers, female rappers, and even celebrity-style voices. Pick one that matches your vibe.
4. Generating the Rap
Finally, paste your lyrics into the input field and hit Generate Rap. It usually takes about 1–2 minutes. Uberduck supports multiple languages, including Japanese.
When you sign up, you’re given 300 credits. I'm not sure how many credits each track uses, but I was able to generate about 7 tracks with the free allowance.
If you’re a fan of hip hop or just want to experiment with AI-generated music, this is a great (and fun) way to dive in. Try writing your own original lyrics and see what kind of rap you can create!
🎵 One More Time: My Theme Song
Here it is again—my personal anthem titled "Critics Hush". Enjoy!
